They’ve fought wars on the court, on the diamond, and on the football field. In some cases, one has gotten the better of the other. And now, well now, its time for payback.
10 Fights You’d Love to See
Ron Artest vs. John Green
John Green has been banned from the Palace. Ron Artest has gotten crazier as the seasons have passed. And all because of a little plastic cup. Its high time they settled their differences in the ring. Sounds a lot better than that fluff interview they are thinking about doing…
Kermit Washington vs. Rudy T
It happened long ago and I’m sure they’ve settled their differences since then but a part of me still thinks Rudy deserves a shot at getting him back. I mean, wasn’t it the ultimate sucker punch?
Nancy Kerrigan vs. Jeff Gilooly
Nancy Kerrigan may have been a hell of a skater but she will always be remembered for whining like a baby on national television. Its time she resurrected her career. What better way than to challenge the man who started it all?
Stephen Davis vs. Michael Westbrook
Its one thing to get punched, its quite another to get your ass beat with everybody watching. And though both are retired now, I think they probably still hold some ill will towards each other. Wouldn’t you if you were Davis, guy landed three haymakers to your face…
Jim Rome vs. Jim Everett
When you’re a 6′5″ Qb and some little twerp calls you a women on his show, I’m thinking that turning over a table and storming off the set wasn’t what Chris, I mean Jim Everett was going for. 3 rounds with Rome sounds like a great pay-per-view event.
Robin Ventura vs. Nolan Ryan
Mention Robin Ventura to any sports fan and the first thing they will say is “Remember when Nolan Ryan used his face as a punching bag”. Not a great legacy to have Robin…In fact, thats downright embarrassing.
Don Zimmer vs. Pedro Martinez
I’ll admit…I laughed uncontrollably when I saw Don ZImmer’s bowling ball head bounce off the carpet at Fenway. Sadly, if Zim ever gets into the HOF, this will be the picture that will more than likely be the banner headline.
Robert Parish vs. Bill Laimbeer
After their one-sided scuffle in the 1987 Eastern Conference FInals, these two heavyweights are so long overdue for a rematch its not funny. Whats even more ironic is that both are still involved in the Pistons(Laimbeer: Shock Coach) and Celtics (Parish: Consultant)organization in some capcitity…
Steve Nash vs. Robert Horry
The “hip check heard round the world” will ultimately cost Steve Nash a shot at ever winning the title. And truthfully, if these guys fought, I’d give the edge to Nash. Although, they don’t call him Cheap Shot Rob for no reason.
PJ Carlesimo vs. Latrell Sprewell
Every time a NBA job comes up, Carlesimo’s name gets tossed around. But you know every time he gets in the interview room he freezes when asked, “How will you go about handling players personalities?”. That one incident alone has cost both of them in the neighborhood of 30 million dollars. Time to make up for it in the ring. I mean Latrell does have to feed his family afterall.

You forgot one.
Even though I am a diehard Michigan fan who hates Ohio St, Luke Witte and the 1971 Ohio St team should have revenge on the thugs of the Minnesota team (including Dave Winfield) who assaulted them. The Gophers embarrassed the Big 10 that day and I am disgusted by that incident even though it happened well before I was born.
