-Am I the only one rooting for Rocco tomorrow?
-If the Celtics go on to win this series, was it more a case of them winning or the Lakers choking away big leads?
-Steve Williams might be a great caddy and all, but when he ran towards Tiger today, could he have looked any gayer?
-6 in a row for the Tigers….I’m not convinced yet
-When there were some fishy calls in the game tonight, was anybody else thinking, Is Bavetta doing it again?
-There is no dumber playoff in sports than 18 holes on the next day where the only people who will see it are kids and stay at home moms. Another stupid product brought to you by the USGA.
-Here is a big tip to know if you are out of shape. If you can’t make your way around the bases without hurting yourself, you probably aren’t. Well done Wang.
-Can Celtics fans now admit that Pierce wasn’t hurt that bad in Game 1? Come on, just admit it?
-Pretty sure I could suit up for the Barbados National Soccer Team
-Nadal will win Wimbledon…Bet on it

Bobby Meacham, the Yankees 3rd base coach, should be blamed for CM Wang hurting his foot. Poor decision waving the pitcher home in a 5-0 game on a base hit to RF.
After all, rounding the bases at full speed is much more grueling than standing in line at Subway. Ah burn.
By the way, don’t wait until the Tigers are one game out of first until you jump back on the bandwagon.

there is no bandwagon…I’ll watch the Tigers whether they win or lose…but I wasn’t convinced before the season started that they were a playoff team, and nothing has changed…

Two of my own thoughts:
The 18 hole playoff is not the ideal situation for the fans, but it eliminates excuses for the players since you have 18 holes to state your case instead of just one where a guy might get “lucky”. In the end, it’s just a tradition.
And tennis isn’t my sport, but Nadal can’t win Wimbledon because he can’t beat Federer on grass. Sorry.

I’m on board with Gilbert’s 18 hold playoff take. Both players (playas) are given the same opportunity to prepare. To me, it’s the best judge of who deserves to win. And, I am currently watching it on usopen.com.

Don’t forget about teachers on summer vacation. I’m at home watching the golf playoff right now. Man, this is relaxing. It doesn’t get any better than this.
