AS IF YOU NEEDED MORE PROOF THAT INGE IS SOFT

I don’t even know where to start with this story. But apparently, Brandon Inge hurt himself moving his kids pillow

I’ve repeatedly ripped on Brandon here at WOI, so I will let somebody else go ahead and speak for me here.

An excerpt from the fellas over at FanIQ:

Apparently Inge already had a sore oblique muscle, and the vicious pillow sent it over the edge. Now see here’s my question. Even if this story is true, why would you ever admit it? It’s one of the stupidest injuries I’ve ever heard of. Just say you got into a bar fight with a homeless, knife-wielding lunatic.

I would have also accepted Brandon admitting he was gay and having a pillow fight with his partner. In fact, that would have been much more justifiable.

in an excerpt from an article polling 201 professional athletes (yes, that is what she said), under the heading: “Who are the most legit guys in the major sports,” sub-heading: “Who you need to watch”

    Brandon Inge, Tigers 3B.
“How many guys are great defensive catchers, third basemen and centerfielders at the major league level? From what I hear, he has also kicked 50-yard field goals at Ford Field and can hit a golf ball almost 300 yards. Plus, the man has the biggest calves I’ve ever seen.” -Grady Sizemore, Indians

(to be fair, the article continued: “Inge’s credentials: Several players mentioned Inge. Guess we’ll just have to take their word. He’s a career .240 hitter who has struck out 100 or more times in four different seasons.” — still, something tells me Grady Sizemore has a better eye for talent than FanIQ.)

The point is, “Several players mentioned Inge” as one of the “most legit guys in the major sports”. Therefore, Inge’s peers, and those closest to and, in fact, within the game/professional sports (thus, those with “sports IQ”, as opposed to those claiming a “fan IQ”) recognize and respect Inge as a legitimate, valuable player. Idiot.

So, yes, we guess we would need more proof that Inge is soft.

Mrs. Inge, are you mad because Brandon hurt himself fluffing a pillow and not fluffing your pillows?

    Honest Question…

ahem…you are talking about a guy who has played almost every game for this team over the past 3 years. He has never had any serious injuries. Given that he goes flying into the stands and plays with reckless abandon (I know that sounds gay), I would say he’s a pretty tough player. Freak injury. I injured my knee walking up a flight of stairs. Given my peak physical condition, I would call that a freak injury too. Give Inge a break.

I sat out a game this year because of hemmerhoids. That has to be more embarassing than Inge’s pillow fluffing incident.

Hemorrhoids hurt…I’d be more than willing to admit to that than saying I hurt myself fluffing a pillow

and speaking of fluffing, bus, have long have you been fluffing Inge?
