Since Wallace and Billups will combine to take home nearly $25 million in 2008-09, the Warriors would need to add more salary ballast to Davis in order to make the salary-cap numbers work. One possibility in that role would be forward Al Harrington.
Wait, so let me get this straight. We get rid of the fake Mr. Big Shot and probably the biggest malcontent on the team for a point guard who can actually create for teammates and a guy who wants to play in the post.
Uh, yeah.
I have three words for you.
Fear the Beard.
Joe, please redeem yourself. You are a good guy and a fine GM, but lately, you haven’t been pulling the right strings.
I’m going to try and refrain from ripping on you but soon enough, you’re going to give me no choice

Number of games Baron Davis has played every season since 2002-03
02-03 50
03-04 67
04-05 46
05-06 54
06-07 63
07-08 82
Sure, he played a full season last year. But the guy has been injury prone his whole career. I agree that I would take a healthy Baron Davis in a heartbeat. He is only 29, althouth it seems like he’s been around forever. But you have to factor in those injuries.

Baron Davis sucks, don’t want him and Golden State can keep him and his enormous teeth.
He whines, he is a ball hog, and he must be the “man” at all times. No thank you.

I can’t say I was hoping for Baron Davis. However, I’ve been a huge proponent of giving this team a facelift. I support this move (assuming Al Harrington is part of the deal).
A lot of people doubted Joe when he traded Jerry Stackhouse for an unproven skinny guard named Richard Hamilton. Who’s willing to eat their words? Come on, who was against it?
I know Dumars has made some bad moves in the draft, but he has been nothing short of incredible as the Pistons GM. I believe the Pistons were wearing teal jerseys before Dumars re-entered the picture.
