My question is, even if they ban octopus from the Arena, whats to keep people from sneaking it in anyway. Are you going to pat down and strip search every person to make sure they don't have an octopus on them. That means that if i want to watch a game that starts at 7, I probably should get in line by noon so that I can make it through all the security check points.

Hey moron, the tradition of throwing a dead octopus onto the ice has been going on for 50 YEARS!! If you're too stupid to study up on the history, you don't deserve a dime from the Red Wings or the NHL. This guy's wife probably looks like an octopus. What a dope. This guy would get his ass kicked if he ever came to Detroit. I bet he eats hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, and bacon all the time too. Frankly, I hope he brings his little lawsuit. Then when the judge rules against him and he has to pay his lawyer and the court costs, he'll wish he had never brought the suit. Jerk. Someone should cover this guy's lawn with dead octopi.

This absolutely is not a laughing matter. I too am planning on suing the red wings. After seeing their jersey I assumed that all cars made in Detroit could fly. Luckily, I survived the crash at the end of the runway but my vehicle did not. I also intended on driving in to watch a game but could not find "Hockeytown" anywhere on any map. The tickets ended up going to waste as I drove around the state of michigan aimlessly looking for this nonexistent city.

From a legal perspective his case has several flaws. First, he did not allow the Red Wings ample time to read and respond to his notice (the standard reply time is 30 days from certified receipt). He more than likely did not send the mail certified with return receipt and cannot prove that he sent anything. Third, the lawsuit would need to be filed in the Wayne County court system as the incident happened to the aggrieved party (the octopus) in Detroit, MI..While Feiger might take on many publicity stunt cases, I can't see even him taking on a case like this. For a lawyer to take this case on, he would have to have either no scruples or be starving.
