Two things happened this past weekend that I am guessing Jim McKay would not have been happy to see had he lived long enough.

1) WTF is a Richard Childress owned race car doing painted up like this?

Is Richard Childress retarded? I don’t care that the driver is Childress’ eighteen year-old grandson, Austin Dillon, or that his grandboy asked to use the number and paint scheme in one of NASCAR’s subdivisions. Earnhardt was like Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky all wrapped up in one to NASCAR folk, so this is just wrong. And did we mention, that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. couldn’t even get permission to use this scheme when he was looking for a new number this past offseason? Damn…

2) Kerry Wood is just another typical Cubs fan.

Nice double-bird, Kerry. I hope your arm falls off.
