RESTORE THE ROAR

More from A. Isaac

I haven’t paid attention at all to Lions training camp. In fact, most sports fans in Detroit are probably in the same boat as me.

They’ve killed our spirit for so long that most of us have just given up.

Every once in awhile they show up on our radar.

You know, like a coach driving naked through a Wendy’s or Jon Kitna’s fashion foibles at Halloween.

And now today’s big exciting story is:

Offensive tackle Jeff Backus and defensive end Dewayne White fight twice during practice.

For those of you who pay attention to the Lions, this happens at least once during training camp.

Its usually indicative of a 4-6 win season.

So really, nothing’s changed. You haven’t missed anything.

Go about your day…

I hate when they report that stuff. It’s like reporting that “Lions WR drops pass during practice.” It happens. It shouldn’t happen; no one wants it to happen; coaches/players/everyone gets mad when it happens, but it does happen – especially OL v. DL. Even if it is indicative of a problem worth reporting on, I wish the beat writers would report on the problem, not the non-event.

    its a non-story….

    I agree

    huge waste of time

its only worth reporting when somebody pulls a Michael Westbrook on Stephen Davis
