What about when the Saints drafted a kicker in the offseason because they knew they had no kicker and then went with Gramatica anyway?And what about owner Tom Benson's nefarious scheme to keep crappy coaches to frustrate the fan base to the point that attendance drops and he can move the team to San Antonio*?Or what about the Westbrook situation from last year — guy falls down on the one yard line? Yeah, it's very rare that a 35-yarder will go wrong, but an extra point?^—–* – This may not, in fact, be accurate.^ – Some may argue that this will only be a factor against well-coached teams, so not really an issue in this game per se.

did not see that…I wrote most of it while the game was going on and immediately after…but if the punter is not canned, I would still put the blame on childress

Can't blame Childress. He said after the game that he told his punter TWICE to punt OUT OF BOUNDS. Both times the punter failed to do it.Mike & Mike suggested, and I agree, that said punter may be looking for a new job.
