It appears some Wolverine fans have already had enough with Mr. Rich Rodriguez because Firerrod.com is up and running just a handful of games into his first season.
And though the site lacks any real substance, I do find it hilarious that it was actually created well before UMs most recent debacle against the Toledo Rockets.
(For those of you scoring at home, yes, it was the Wolverines first ever loss to a MAC school…..and not even a good one at that as Toledo entered the game with only one win on the season.)
Here’s a short excerpt from the site detailing one of the reasons RichRod should leave
Recently, I saw an ad on ESPN for college football that illustrated why he should be fired. In the ad they made a reference to “anything can happen”, in context implying that a poor team can beat a good team on any given Saturday. During this ad game footage of large upsets were playing in the background, one of which was the UofM vs. Wisconsin game. Michigan has now become an example of an underdog in contrast to its proud tradition of being a consummate championship caliber football institution. What a shame.
And easily my favorite part of the website is the Les Miles Countdown Clock. It has delusion written all over it.

Is this a Joke? Richrod is working with guys that were recruited for a differant format of play. The offense is run by a bunch of freshman. This is ignorance, if you expect anything more at this point. Dont be supprized if they pull a big upset on msu or ohio in ohio. I believe we will have a top 10 team within three years and a nathional championship within five years. Thank You, Tim Murphy from Ann Arbor.lynmurphy_7@yahoo.com

Rich lost his last game at WVU to an unranked 4-7 team. He now has lost four of his last six games and lost a second game to a 1-4 team. He has shown he is a real loser. Michigan got a real bargain – his multimillion dollar contract and the 2.5 million it cost to buy out his WVU contract. Les where are you

Tim Murphy: Typical Michigay. He even types with a lisp.
Really, Tim? They aren’t his players?
Really, Tim? Different style of play?
Really, Tim? A Michigay fan with delusions of how good they’re gonna be?
No, Tim. It’s not a joke. You are.

Um, okay, anon above me–get a life.
Not all Michigan fans feel the same way about RR. Sure, I have a problem with us not going to a bowl game this season and losing to Toledo. But my biggest problem with RR, which was there when he got hired, is his character. He is not a Michigan Man, in more ways than one.

Didn’t I do and say enough to prove any one that uses the term “Michigan Man” is a total idiot? Because I think I did.

He's still despised, and always will be, for his betrayal of WV fans who dug deep to keep him from going to Alabama.
No offense to Michigan fans, but I want him to lose every game until he is fired, and especially to Ohio State.
May he end up coaching D backs at Hampden-Sydney. And I mean no disrespect for H-S fans.
Yeah, he would have been better off killing a family of five with an axe. At least then he'd be thought of as crazy, instead of just very stupid.
Despite his pedigree, bloodlines and DNA, he proved he's not a WVU man; obviously and distinctly, he ain't a Michigan man either.
Good riddance.

Man, there sure are a lot of mouth breathers in this thread. Why don't you kids just go back to doing whatever it is they do in West Virginia, Ohio, and elsewhere and let the all-time winningest program deal with it's issues. We can after all do that.

Hey, Anonymous, I'm breathing through my nose. And I'm paying attention to our own football program which is doing fine without the traitor who is the immediate past head coach. I hear he's already setting RECORDS at your place (home of the all-time winningest program). How's that been working out for ya?
I'm also amusing myself by paying attention to how long it will take him to be YOUR ex-head coach.
And I will continue to greatly dislike the s.o.b. until he's fired. Then I'll save the little bit of energy now expended on wishing him all the bad luck, ill will and misfortune that can be heaped on one person.
Bitter?
Ya think?

When did football become so popular in West Virginia? Has everyone traded in their .22 and blood hound for a computer as well?I thought pushin' a tire with a stick was the cool thing to do in them hills. Your team started to have winning seasons, so now you have fans. I love your tradition.
