PISTONS BREAK MINI-SLUMP; BEAT THE KINGS

More from A. Isaac

If you were a Piston fan, you probably had a lot of mixed emotions the last week. You lost Chauncey, which hurt but you brought in one of the more spectaculars players in the league in AI. Then Detroit crapped the bed against New Jersey and culminated that with one of the worst efforts in Pistons history against the Celtics.

After the first quarter of the Kings game, I was ready to have Michael Curry fired and secretly wished Rasheed got hit by a car on the way home.

It was a terrible effort and the Pistons found themselves down 15 early.

I assumed the game was over.

But then the Pistons actually got a positive from contribution from…you guessed it, Kwame Brown.

I was convinced that a person named Kwame would never succeed in Detroit….he proved me wrong yesterday. It was his energy that led the Pistons comeback in the second quarter.

While Rasheed lazily hung around at the 3 point line waiting for someone to pass to him, Kwame grabbed boards and pushed people around.

I’m not sure where this team is going right now but it was good to see them get this first win with AI.

You’re either very good or very bad at assuming games are over when they are far from it. I’m just not sure which.

agree with timmy g, you suck at assuming games, so stop, you are going to jinx them. the pistons will just take a bit longer to gel.
