PISTONS TRADE BILLUPS AND MCDYESS FOR IVERSON

More from A. Isaac

Just coming across the wire right now….It’s official per ASB of Mlive.com

The Detroit Pistons have reached a tentative agreement to trade Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess to the Denver Nuggets for Allen Iverson. Neither player was at this morning’s shoot-around. Team officials said that more information would be forthcoming later today.

Will update as the day goes on. Pretty obvious from the first couple of games into the season that the Pistons needed some new life. Couple that with Chauncey’s diminishing skills both offensively and defensively and this might just be the move the Pistons needed to energize the fan base…

ESPN rolling with this story as well

honestly, how is the “the worst mistake in the world?”

yea it sucks we lose dice but it looks like denver’s going to buy him out of his contract and release him which means we can re-sign him (not too shabby)…plus we get a.i. a little older but still an upgrade over billups who is on the decline. this also gives us possibly the fastest, if not one of the better, backcourts in the league…suck on that anonymous.

but most importantly, this makes the pistons the front runners to snatch up any marquee free agents in the offseason. with ai and sheed’s contracts coming off the books that leaves us and teams like memphis with enough cap space to snag a couple of good players (chris bosh and shawn marion anyone?). again…suck on that anonymous.

and yes anonymous, i know the negatives…we all know he’s not a fan of practice…he’s not much of a team leader…blah blah blah…the guy can still play. and if it doesn’t work out he’s gone after this year (see above).

try and be a little happy with the move anonymous…if you wanna bitch and moan, talk about the lions…

    …boobies.
