Count this as my only pseudo political post on Guyism. I’ve been a CNN watcher for a long period of time. I won’t watch Fox, because I think we all know how “fair and balanced” they can be. Same goes for MSNBC, who I hear played “Celebration” last night after Barack Obama was announced President.
CNN to me, has always been the most non-biased of the U.S. News Stations.
But tonight, that went out the window.
CNN had several political panelists, one of whom was Roland Martin. Outside of the fact he looks like Chef, he often brings nothing to the table politically. He often regurgitates information while others just look in and wonder, “When he is going to sing Chocolate Salty Balls”.
After Obama was announced the winner, CNN came back to the panel. As they asked everyone their thoughts, Roland Martin broke into tears as he was talking.
I realize that it was a historic moment for the country and I realize that Martin may be a friend of Obama’s.
But what happened to remaining professional? You work for a station that presents itself as not leaning one way or the other and you have a guy that breaks into tears after he’s announced the winner?
If you need to cry, take a five minute break, get off the set and ball somewhere else.
Otherwise, try to retain any composure and any integrity you have left and finish what you’re saying.
And please, spare me the “Isaac is a right-winged racist Nazi”. Couldn’t be farther from the truth.

I bet MSNBC would have played the same song if McCain won last night. Get over it Isaac, allow people to be human for a few seconds.

Bush – in the WOI, people aren’t allowed to make mistakes and not get viciously called out on them. Isn’t that right Roland Martin, Bret Bielema, Pam Ward, John Daly, Monta Ellis, Miss America and Manny Legace?

I’m a little surprised Isaac didn’t slam Oprah today. Her show was great by the way. Yes, I watched it!

so there isn’t a difference between Oprah’s show and an unbiased news network
He was wrong and it was unprofessional
He’s lucky he’s keeping his job
He’s also lucky he doesn’t get called chef more often
