I have always like Morgan Freeman. But, now that you mention it, he is always the same character – albeit with a different name, in every movie he appears in. I think once he was actually the murderer (with Ashley Judd) but I don't remember the name of the movie – which speaks loads in itself. However, let me add John Wayne to the list of "same actor, different script" movie stars. How many academy awards did he win?? I think the point is made. FYI, I too am a Mississippi resident but a transplanted San Franciscan.

This was bound to happen, just didn't relies that it would be such a payout, but then again its the quiet ones you have to worry about. He is still one of the best actors around and this won't stop me from watching his movies

I think Morgan Freeman bothers me more because he's so one-dimensional as an actor yet people seem to think he's good and that he really "brings something" to a movie.

But no, you're right, no one whom I deem to be a mediocre actor should be making that much money. Not Morgan Freeman, not Steven Segal, not Keanu Reeves (though he has a kitschy quality I enjoy) should be making enough money to give away $100 mil to an ex-wife.

really pushing the envelope with that commentary. There are plenty of well-paid bad actors out there. Why should Morgan Freeman not make as much money as they do?
