BEWARE, MATT MILLEN WILL RUIN YOUR CAREER

More from A. Isaac

As I sat there and watched Matt Millen on NBC, I felt nauseous. My whopper from earlier that afternoon started to creep its way up my esophagus.

I was disgusted.

Of all the people NBC could hire as an analyst, they hired Matt Millen?

Honestly, who’s running the show at the Peacock Network? Did William Clay Ford call up some of his corporate buddies and threaten to pull Ford ads or something?

I mean, in this day and age of qualified people losing their jobs, a man who shat the bed for 8 straight years got a job within 4 months of being fired.

Really. How?

For 8 years, Matt Millen basically came into work, pulled down his pants and left a heaping excrement on his desk.

And we the fans of Detroit had to soak in that aroma as ownership tried to convince us that the excrement smelled like roses.

Ugh.

I really hope NBC reconsiders their position when they realize the backlash they will get from current players.

Think about it.

Imagine you are a player sitting at home and Matt Millen is giving his analysis of the 2008 season. He says something to the effect of

“Joe Schmo is going to be a breakout star in this league”

Given Millen’s penchant for spotting and evaluating talent, if I’m Joe Schmo, I’m hoping I’m not 4 months away from bagging groceries at the local market.

Its the ultimate kiss of death folks.

NBC is a week away from thousands of NFL agents calling and begging them to keep their players names away from Millen’s lips.

Maybe that will be enough for NBC to change their minds.

But as we know here in Detroit, Matt Millen seems to be the “Teflon kid”

hilarious. I’m not from detroit nor do I really follow the happenings there (apart from the economic woes), but get quite a kick out of reading your sports takes.

Listening to Millen’s comments would be like getting financial advice from Bernie Madoff.

(He should be sentenced with him too.)

I thought I was still drunk from New Year’s when I saw Millen on TV, I mean, when are they going to bring in Isiah for the NBA? Disgraceful.

    It’s “penchant”, not “pension”.
