PAVEL DATSYUK AMAZING SHOOTOUT GOAL

More from A. Isaac

I’m not one to complain about all-star selections. Most of the time, they are just glorified popularity contests. In fact, 2/3 of the NHL East starting roster is filled with Montreal Canadiens as Montreal is the host city this year.

That’s fine, I can accept that.

But when I heard that the Detroit Red Wings didn’t have a single person in the starting lineup, I was appalled. The same Detroit Red Wing team that has a guy who is playing the best hockey in the league right now in Datsyuk and the reigning Conn Smythe winner in Zetterberg?

They couldn’t crack the rotation?

Nicklas Lidstrom, one of the greatest defenseman this game has ever seen couldn’t crack the rotation?

Now, that’s a damn shame.

And I’m not insinuating anything here, but I think Pavel may have gotten word that the Red Wings got snubbed.

He took his anger out on poor little goalie Josh Harding

And if you think you’ve seen this move before, its because you have. In a game a couple of years ago against Marty Turco and the Stars…

That wasn’t a shootout lol. And you can’t compare the Montreal players in the all-star team to Detroit, they are in different conferences lol. The only switch I’d make is Neidermayer for Lidstrom, THAT would make more sense but the All-Star game is homo anyway, so whatever.
