Your obituary is pretty much the last thing people will remember of you. So, uh, this one might leave a little something to be desired.

Dimmick, Chuck P.
born December 29, 1958 in Riverside, CA passed away suddenly on April 18, 2009 while attending a NASCAR race to watch his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. Chuck was the loving husband of Kristen and devoted father of Dillon. Chuck was the Director of Marketing for the Lund Cadillac Group. We are sure he would still want all to know that 0.9% financing is still available on all New 2008 Hummer H2’s. A mass celebrating Chuck’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 24th at St. Patrick’s Church – 10815 N. 84th St. Scottsdale, AZ. Arrangements handled by Hansen Desert Hill Mortuary 480-991-5800. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dillon Dimmick Donation Fund at any Bank of America.

UPDATE: So apparently the story behind this is actually somewhat touching. Since I’m actually pretty fair and mean no disrespect to the Dimmick family, here’s the email:

I’m guessing you didn’t know Chuck Dimmick and your blog casts a grey cloud over a family’s mourning. I have had the pleasure of meeting him, in fact, I attended his service today and his wife wrote the obituary, and shared in the thought. Not only did he work for the Lund Cadillac group, but he also did a lot of there PR, radio commercials and tv commercials. So many here are familiar with his voice and the line that was repeated, that you so carelessly bolded, just to make a mockery of. But all who knew him, worked with him and were touched by him understood. It’s too bad that a nobody can make such a thoughtless comment about a somebody.

I take pity on your small mind, but realize we may all meet in Heaven one day. I will pray that God might show you how to demonstrate compassion.

I made no comment, merely bolded something which would appear entirely absurd to ANYONE WHO WOULD READ IT. The energy you spend passive aggressively emailing a Web site would better be spent on any number of activities, including being there for the family.

With that information however, I do think that’s charming. Nonetheless, I hope your obituary isn’t too far behind and, based off of your email, I’m pretty sure yours will be much less charming because nobody likes you.
