The world of LPGA golf became slightly more significant over the weekend. Michelle Wie, after years of heartache, desperation, and failure finally got the win she so coveted.

To put this into some kind of perspective for those who aren’t female golf fans, Wie just turned 20 last month. She has been playing professionally for 4 years. She has not won a tournament of any kind since 2002. She was billed as the female Tiger Woods.

There was so much pressure on this girl, that at times, people wondered if she’d just quit. Several people thought her career was over more than a year ago when she had a dismal performance at the U.S. open and missed the cut.

So given all that, I guess I can understand why she decided to show the world her “O” face. Hell, I’d be relieved too.
