I don’t even know why I keep looking up what people have to say against pickup. I shouldn’t care, I should just be confident in who I am, as a pickup artist/person who is myself hybrid.

wow, really? there are so many misconceptions in this article i could cry.

admittedly you may have a point about the alphabet soup of letters (though try going into any specialized area without a word salad of terminology and acronyms).

i've been around the block in game (though i subscribe to natural game, not routines or NLP) and have to laugh at the utter ridiculousness of many things in this article. i love the SHB and AFC remarks though!

most routines do not use NLP. you're taking different schools of thought of pickup and bundling it into this one ridiculous package.
you're like taking the worst points from what Mystery and Ross Jeffries say and using it to make the community look like a bunch of loser scumbags. not to mention not all schools of pickup are based around routines.

yes, going around with all of these elaborate routines may seem ridiculous (though you should try listening to girls talk and you may see they're almost as obsessive). i think the general idea of this is to be able to make things work until you can do it without needing to memorize these routines.

i like how the writers of this article refer to PUAs as nerds, while backing up their point by making so many videogame/movie references one has to ponder....

Pick up is a good thing and it is a bad thing-and here is why.

These "AFC" guys that are, most of the time, those quiet, nerdy kids who aren't happy with their lives. They have been deceived their whole lives into thinking a certain way, such as being teh nice guy will get you a girlfriend. After a while, when they realize this doesn't work, many give up. These are those kids who got bullied and pushed around in school and were always the butt of other people's jokes, and knew it, but couldn't change it for one reason or another.

Over time, these guys tried to have girlfirends, but grew lonelier and more sexually frustrated and start to settle, making themselves feel even more unhappier. They were about to give up until they saw this magic book that told them you could do this and get any woman.

Finally, they exclaim, I can be like those guys I always wanted to be, they think, so they start doing this, making up these routines, kino, all this shit. Here it breaks off into two paths-

1. Those who become obsessed. This is now their life. Every woman is a set, every guy is an AMOG, every girl friend is a pivot. AFter a while, you forget who you were and become this social robot, living life as a videogame.

2. Those who notice what the game is supposed to be. If you become embarrassed with who you are, than you have already lost the game. If you get a girls attention and never be yourself and use these routines, what good will this do you in life? None. The game needs to be something that helps you learn how to naturally convey yourself, not be able to tell a story about a club and a fight on command from memory 1000 times.

I am in agreeance with PUAtomcat. Getting the conversation started is all you really need to "memorize," and I say that very loosely. After that, you should learn how to be confident in yourself and what you have to say, by just going out and talking to girls and being yourself. Just don't fear rejection anymore, its just not worth it. In Mystery's book, I think it said we only spend about 27,000 days on earth, so why waste your time being afraid?

I don't even know why I keep looking up what people have to say against pickup. I shouldn't care, I should just be confident in who I am, as a pickup artist/person who is myself hybrid.

Being yourself is terrible advice. If someone stays at home plays videogames all day and is unhappy, how is being yourself good advice?

Oh and Supa Hottie, that wasn't a neg. That guy was just being an asshole. The only time I say something like that is when a girl is actually being a bitch or interrupts me when I'm trying to take, because I was raised to not interrupt people when they are talking since its rude, and I expect the same. If I go up to a girl and say, "Hey, do you think a Gin and Tonic is a real drink?" what would you say? If you would say yes and engage me, I wouldn't neg you, thats just mean. If you look at me and bark, "Why the fu** would I care about that?" That is just rude and makes me mad. I would look at you and say, "Wow you're fiesty, you don't have to be so rude, just asking a question," Look to your friends and say, "She must not have been raised with manners, haha, anyway..." and continue. This girl deserved a neg, but saying, "Hey butterface" is just rude, disrespectful, and ignorant.

If I'm talking and some girl interrupts me when I'm answering a question or telling a story, that is extremely rude, and I will point it out to her. "So after my friend got back from Europe, he was so tired of..." "Thats a stupid hat" "Wow, didn't your mother tell you not to interrupt people when you were talking? Wow, she's cute but guess she wasn't raised with manners." Why interrupt someone when they are talking with something like that?

Again, these are worst case scenarios, and I only use them when a girl is actually being a bitch, because I don't take shit from anyone, even if you're a girl.

And if a girl tells me,"I think you should leave," I say, "Hey have you heard of...." If she says it again, I say, "Nice meeting you," and leave. This is what PUA teaches. It's funny, as people in PUA know, Mystery, that GM up there actually teaches that no means no.

Sorry to get off a tangent, but the thing is, if people who are not naturally good at talking to women don't realize that there is a way to learn to be your best self, they will never be happy, even if they find the community.

SOI "show of interest" is the same I guess as IOI "indicator of interest".
I think there is something called a "sexual indicator" ?

the concepts are pretty useful.

I particularly like One-itis "mostly suffered by AFC's with poor pick up skills". Sooooo true!

This drivel explained for me why some guys I encountered said the most horrible things to me OUT OF THE BLUE when I was out having a nice time. I was being "negged!" Oh, how I wish I realized that when some dude yelled, "Hey, Butterface!!" it was the highest form of flattery! I should have been intrigued!

Let me explain my thought process when I am insulted by someone I don't know: I want them bounced out of the place. I am NOT intrigued. I do not want to spend any time getting to know that person. Heshould not invade my personal space with continued "negging." I want that person gone.

Does "The Game" include any tips for recognizing when its time to end one pursuit and find a different target? In my experience, the hapless fool who uses these "techniques" typically won't break off the approach even when the target does not respond. My guess is the book does not include that valuable tip. It should.

It should.

I agree with Tom.... As for you cr 18, you are what we call an AFC...and do you know what that means? Average Frustrated Chump. I'm going to tell you something about you... You are either

1. an AFC in denial
2. a guy that gets women by his looks
3. a guy who makes alot of money therefore establishing a higher value
4. you have alot of friends.

Here's Tom's point... Everybody needs help. Nerds need help to become more social, hired guns need help to be normal. If you were a jock playing varsity football and you loved it and you're trying so hard to get that scholarship because your family doesn't have any money, and you're not good at it... wouldn't you want some help? Or should we just say, stick to warming the bleachers?

Now after saying that, even you even reply to this, you will probably say something like...."no I'll just accept defeat and not pursue the scholarship." You are being very defensive and it shows being in denial, and you should just stop right there and be a PUA. Let's just say you are telling the truth, that you really mean that you will stop pursuing the scholarship, you are still an AFC, not willing to excel in something and be happy. What this all tells me is that you are happy with doing the bare minimum in life. And it's pretty sad.

Now on another subject... "just be yourself"
First off, I hate that phrase. It's like saying give up. I know some of you might say that if you change yourself, you are lightweight deceiving your target. What you want to do is OPEN, NEG, DHV, KINO, and pretty much the structure of Pick Up and you will have her attention... From there, you can be yourself and see if she will like you. Let's face it, if you see a girl in a club that you think is attractive.... or even at a park, She will feel threatened with "yourself" wether you are the nicest guy in the world. Catch her attention and get her interested, and THEN that's when you be yourself.

Some of this rings home. There's probably quite a few of the terminology that would be better of going
