This isn't a season about giving. I think it's rude to send an email stating that you will only accept cash. You should accept whatever you are given. That's what the holidays are about. If you don't like the gift, put on a smile, say "thanks" for the thoughtfulness, then dispose of it when you get home. If you are unlucky enough to live with the person who gave you the gift, well... We don't like autoplaying ads either (in fact, we specifically bar them in our contracts) and are currently requesting our ad firms look into it and get rid of it.
