Not all celebrities are obsessed with plastic surgery and the South Beach Diet. As we all know, some of the funniest actors in Hollywood are also some of the fattest. While they may not be the most attractive bunch, that doesn’t mean they are by any means less awesome. Below are nine overweight celebrities that we love.

9 Jonah Hill

Regardless, we loved his overweight antics in such movies as Superbad, Get Him to The Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. In a lot of ways, much of Jonah’s charm comes from his extra weight. I mean, would that party scene in Superbad in which he gets ‘perioded’ on have been as funny if he was skinny? I think not.

8 Jorge Garcia
Jorge Garcia 135x95 9 of our favorite overweight celebrities of all timeAs one of the largest celebrities in Hollywood, Jorge Garcia won over millions of fans as Hugo Reyes on Lost. And despite being on a deserted island, Jorge manages to maintain his morbidly obese body size (now that’s commitment to your body image). While Jack may have had the leadership skills and Sawyer had the funny one-liners, Hugo is without a doubt the one with all the heart.

7 Phyllis Smith
Phyllis the office 135x95 9 of our favorite overweight celebrities of all timeIn any real office, Phyllis Smith would be an average-sized middle-aged woman. In Hollywood, however, she is well above average in terms of body weight. Still, this doesn’t stop her from being one of the most hilarious utility players on The Office. In her own words: “I wonder what people like about me. Probably my jugs.”

6 Nick Frost

He’s appeared alongside Simon Pegg in such films as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz (and now, Paul). With his love for a pint and pension for childish humor, we’d happily watch him in a dozen other films.

5 Tracy Morgan

4 Kevin Smith
kevin smith 135x95 9 of our favorite overweight celebrities of all timeKevin Smith once confessed in an interview: “I broke a toilet. That’s how heavy I am. I can’t take all the credit — that was an old toilet and a very waterlogged wall — but my size took that toilet down.” That’s okay Kevin, because you’ve given us classic movies like Clerks, Mallrats and Dogma. We’ll forgive you for your larger body frame… even if the toilet won’t.

3 Zach Galifianakis
zach g 135x95 9 of our favorite overweight celebrities of all timeZack Galiianakis is truly one of the funniest actors in Hollywood. Despite his gruff appearance (which makes it hard for him to get a table for one at Chuck E. Cheese), he’s managed to win us over with epic performances in The Hangover, Bored to Death and Between Two Ferns. While I, for one, wish he’d grace us with some new stand-up material, it’s great to see the big guy raking in the big bucks on the big screen.

2 John Belushi

From his days on Saturday Night Live, he showed the world that he knew how to carry his weight when the cameras were on. And though we lost him way too early, his portrayal of Bluto in Animal House alone is proof enough that he is one of the greatest overweight celebrities of all time.

1 Chris Farley

Just like John, Chris used his large girth to his advantage in such roles as Matt Foley the motivational speaker, Tommy Boy and Black Sheep. While his death was a big blow, one can only imagine that he and Belushi are sharing a nice 12-foot hoagie up in heaven.
