Former Miss USA Rima Fakih arrested for DUI

Former Miss USA Rima Fakih’s post-reign life has sure been an interesting one. First she competed on WWE Tough Enough and now she’s getting busted for DUI. I can’t wait to see what her next move will be. Perhaps she can get back to her roots? The best part of Fakih getting nabbed for driving under the influence was the fact that she got on Twitter Saturday night claiming she had not been arrested.

“Let’s clear things up now. … I’m NOT in Michigan and I’m NOT in jail! Wrong Fakih.”

Wow. She seemed pretty EMPHATIC about that. One problem with that now-deleted tweet: her attorney Doraid Elder confirmed that she was arrested on Sunday. Doh!

Elder had few details of the arrest but said Fakih’s record “has not a single blemish,” adding that the beauty queen is “very saddened and very apologetic for the situation that she’s in right now.”

The good news is that Fakih doesn’t seem to upset by it as she was back on Twitter on Sunday saying, “A long run always gets me energized! Its time to make football Sunday food.”
