I cannot guarantee the effectiveness of these cures, but they all came highly recommended by whoever the hell posted them on the Internet. Hey, it took me a good 20 minutes to put this together, and trust me, I myself am planning on using 2 or 5 of these today.

(1) From SoYouWanna
1. Take 2 aspirins
2. Take 200mg cysteine (available at specialty food stores)
3. Take 600mg vitamin C
4. Take 1 tablet vitamin B-complex
5. Mix the following ingredients together in a blender:
* 1 banana
* 1 small can V-8
* 6 large strawberries
* 2 tablespoons honey
* 1 cup orange juice
* 1-2 cups milk (or soy milk), to desired consistency
* ¼ tsp. salt
* dash of nutmeg
6. Drink it all up.
If necessary, follow up with a dose of Maalox, lots of Gatorade, and bouillon soup for dinner.

(3) From Mahalo
1. Go back to bed. Alcohol affects how well you sleep. You’ll need more in order to recover.
2. Drink water. Yes, even more. Your body needs to rehydrate.
3. If your stomach is bothering you, don’t drink coffee or other caffeinated beverages. Caffeine irritates the stomach.
4. If you are nauseated, drink soft drinks or fruit juice, says WebMD.
5. Eat something. Dr. Thomas Stuttaford recommends as much protein and carbohydrate as you can manage, to recover from alcohol-induced hypoglycemia.
6. Now’s the time for painkillers, if you need them. BMJ strongly recommends a quick-absorbing type, like Alka-Seltzer.
There was also a video on this but I will spare you the sounds and motion…
(4) From Nzgirl
…the most popular hangover cure of all time is the good old fashioned fry-up of bacon and eggs. But did you know that eating fried eggs might actually have an actual scientific benefit. Eggs are rich in the chemical cysteine, and the liver uses cysteine when it processes or metabolises alcohol. So by increasing the amount of cysteine in your body you’re actually metabolising the alcohol more efficiently.
…head to the supermarket and stock up on electrolyte drinks and lollies!
(5) From CHOW
Burnt toast. The carbohydrates replace some of the lost blood sugar, and the cabon helps absorb whatever toxins are left in your stomach.
RU-21. Invented by the KGB for its spies, it’s supposed to prevent buildup of acetaldehyde, one of the nasty byproducts of metabolizing alcohol.
Pedialyte. Allegedly rehydrates and replaces electrolytes.
Ginger. Helps the nausea.
STILL HURTING? Try some international cures. In Russia partiers find relief with pickled vegetables and vodka; in Mexico, menudo, or tripe soup; in Quebec, poutine, a conglomeration of fries, meat gravy, and cheese curds.

Kidney dialysis was also mentioned as a cure, but I don’t think I am going to try that one. Get well soon!
