Justin Verlander has a pretty good life. He’s won two World Series, an American League MVP Award, and just took home his third Cy Young award.

He has earned almost $300 million dollars playing baseball, recently signed a two-year contract with the New York Mets that will pay him, at a minimum, another $86.7 million, and he is married to arguably the most popular Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model of all time, Kate Upton.

So with all of that going for him, it comes as little surprise that with him turning 40 years-old on Monday his wife would throw him a banger of a surprise birthday party.

“HAPPY 40TH JUSTIN!” Kate Upton wrote on Instagram along with a look at the celebration. “Nothing I love more than watching you live out your dream and be the amazing father that you are… I am so lucky to call you my husband. Wish we could relive this night forever! Happy birthday @justinverlander. I love you!”

“Successfully pulled off the greatest surprise,” she also wrote on her Instagram story.

Kate Upton isn’t kidding when she says she enjoys watching him live out his dream.

After defeating the Phillies 4-1 in Game 6 to clinch last year’s World Series, Upton was asked by David Ortiz if she wanted Verlander to retire.

“I love watching my husband do what he loves, to see him do his craft, he’s such an artist out there when he’s pitching it’s truly so creative, it’s such an art and we are so honored to be a part of it,” she replied.

Justin Verlander also shared some images from his 40th birthday bash with the caption, “The big 40! Thank you to my wife, family & friends for surprising me with the best Verlander Vices birthday party! I appreciate all the love!”

Verlander and the 30-year-old Kate Upton have been together since 2014. They got married in 2017 and have a daughter who was born in November of 2018.
