Lindsay Lohan got choked in a hotel, or didn’t
Another day, another Li-Lo screwup. This time the cops were involved. You know how when you’re a kid and you get in trouble, you sometimes try to get another kid in trouble to take some of the heat off you? Lindsay Lohan is trying that gimmick. And, unsurprisingly, it’s not working.
Li-Lo was partying in New York City over the weekend and picked up an entourage who were all too willing to ride the lightning. The group, which also included model Cory Kennedy and Chanel Omari, started their night at 9:30 at Meatpacking District restaurant Catch, where they were joined by Congressional aide Christian LaBella. LaBella had never met Lohan before, but accompanied her and friends on a nine-hour party bender that raged across multiple NYC clubs and hotels. The group wound up at the W Hotel on Park Avenue, and that’s when the trouble began.
According to Lohan, she caught LaBella taking illicit pictures of her with his cell phone, presumably to sell to the tabs. The former child star hatched a cunning plan to get ahold of his phone, telling him that she needed to call her mother. Upon getting the phone, she ran off like a banshee to another room to page through his media files. And here’s where the stories start to diverge.
Lohan claims that LaBella gave chase and proceeded to try to choke her to death to get his phone back. The police were called, but after interviewing the involved parties they couldn’t find any evidence of Lohan’s claims and let LaBella go. Now things are going to the murky world of cross-ways harassment lawsuits, as both LaBella and Lohan will be suing each other.
This all makes a lot more sense when you consider that Li-Lo is already on probation in Los Angeles for shoplifting, compounded by her recent hit and run in September. With Liz & Dick getting ready to hit the Lifetime airwaves and the world pretty heavily anti-Lohan, she’s probably trying to make herself look like an innocent victim. She hasn’t taken to Twitter about the situation, but I’m sure there’ll be some hilarity there soon enough.
