Snooki only fined $500 for being a drunken nuisance

A few weeks ago we told you about Snooki getting into a bit trouble on a drunken day out at the beach. Well she was in court today and got a fine and some community service. Nothing a few Jagerbombs can’t take the edge off of.

Calling her “a Lindsay Lohan wannabe,” a judge has fined “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi $500 and ordered her to perform community service after she pleaded guilty to disturbing others on a New Jersey beach in July.

She’s not a “Lindsay Lohan wannabe,” judge–she’s not making terrible movies yet. Besides, you have to remember that famous people are labeled “eccentrics,” not “drunks” and that drunkenly screaming at passersby and pushing people in public showers just comes with the territory.

Polizzi apologized to police and anyone else she bothered, claiming her behavior was not scripted as part of the show, even though cameras were rolling.

And for her one day of community service, Snooki speant the day helping neglected animals at a local zoo. Of course now that zoo has become rated the #1 Party Zoo by National Geographic and will eventually lead to drunken brawls between tequila shooting gorillas, but all is well for the next season of Jersey Shore.
