The 5 worst movies starring Jennifer Aniston

Undoubtedly, you’ve watched a commercial or seen an ad for this weekend’s release of The Switch. A playful, romantic comedy starring Jennifer Aniston (stop us if you’ve heard that one before). And while we have no idea how this movie will perform in the box office, we do have a general theory on some of Aniston’s past work. Suffice to say she’s made a bad movie or two.

5 Rumor Has It (2005)

Warner Bros. is responsible for some of the highest grossing movies of all-time. Dark Knight and the entire Harry Potter series just to name a few. But they are also responsible for teaming up arguably the two bigger Hollywood busts of this generation. Yes, there is a producer or production assistant out there who thought it was a good idea to team up Kevin Costner and Jennifer Aniston. If that person is still in Hollywood, I’d be shocked. They are more than likely working as a fluffer on a porn set.

4 Derailed (2005)

Aniston tried to shake up her career and star in a bit of a dramatic thriller. However, the audience wasn’t buying the love struck actress in a pseudo action film. Derailed took a major hit financially and not surprisingly, butchered by crtics. Ethan Alter of Film Journal International tried to put it delicately saying…”One of those forgettable efforts that’s neither bad enough to completely dismiss nor good enough to wholly recommend.” Ouch.

3 Love Happens (2009)

Yet another Jennifer Aniston romantic comedy that bombed. Love Happens was only in the black for slightly over four million dollars domestically. And though Aniston’s exact salary was never revealed for this “blockbuster”, the least amount she’s received for a film since 2004 is an astounding five million dollars. If, at any time, an actor makes more than the actual film, then my friends, you have an official box office bust.

2 Along Came Polly (2004)

Surprisingly, this film did well in the box office. And I say surprisingly because the only redeeming part of the entire movie is seeing Jennifer Aniston in her underwear. That scene alone almost saved the entire flick.

1 The Bounty Hunter (2010)

To give you an idea of how bad this movie was, we travel over to movie review website “Rotten Tomatoes.” While Jennifer Aniston, in general, performs poorly on the tomato meter, this one is the creme of the crap. A whopping single-digit performance (7% to be exact). One critic summed it up rather clearly: “The putrid result never rises even to the lofty heights of mediocrity.” That doesn’t exactly ring as a stunning endorsement.
