VIDEO: ‘The Leo Strut’ is the dance craze you’ve been dreaming about

A lot of you probably already know about the meme “The Leo Strut” which is a picture of Leonardo DiCaprio (taken from the film “Inception”) gleefully waltzing down the street while something horrible happens behind him. Well here is the official song for the meme, and it’s hilarious.

Oddly this song stays with you — it’s catchy in a “I kinda want to try it out but fear others won’t get the joke” kind of way. And after seeing this video, I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to watch Leo on screen again without seeing that goofy look on his face. He looks like a cross between Gene Kelly and Forrest Gump in this video. I doubt this is going to be the next huge dance craze, but I just can’t stop laughing at this. I think this meme may end up having and adverse affect on the way I watch DiCaprio films for the rest of my life–as I’ll never again be able to see him in a serious context without thinking of this song…

Serious context? Who cares? This was totally worth it. Still not as good as “Jean Claude Van Dance Machine,” but it’s close.

I think what we need here is some sort of dance-off. I smell a “Step Up 4: The Inception of Dance” film around the corner.

What'd you think of this?
