‘Antiviral’ trailer is really, really icky
K. Thor Jensen In a good way. If your dad is David Croenenberg, director of such horror classics as Videodrome and The Fly, you’re probably exposed to a ton of messed up stuff growing up. So it’s no surprise that his son has gone into the horror business as well, and his first feature is set to come out this year. Antiviral has one of the weirdest premises I’ve ever heard: in the future, people are so obsessed with celebrities that they willingly get infected with the diseases that they have. When a dude accidentally gets the fatal disease that killed a pop idol, he must figure out how she died to save his own life. Looks awesome. Antiviral opens later this year.
