Black Devil Doll is the definitive film of the black puppet movement
Chris Spags I’ve known a few black puppets in my day and this is so what they’re like (Li’l Penny excluded…he was a great family man and one of the finest human beings I’ve known). Meet the Black Devil Doll…he’s militant, surly, perpetually horny, and he also really seems to enjoy killing white women. It’s a horror, it’s a parody, it’s intentionally corny, and it’s amaaaazing. The sad thing is that, while I can’t condone the Black Devil Doll’s actions, I can relate. Not only is he discriminated against for being black, he’s also got the discrimination coming his way because he’s a puppet. It’s so hard to be taken seriously as a peer when you’re eye to eye with everyone’s left testicle. I don’t think that means you need to beat up sexy nude women with a bat, but we all deal with problems in different ways. When life gives you lemons, sometimes you beat a whore in the face with a baseball bat and drink lemonade…I believe that’s how the parable goes.
