‘Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters’ trailer has a candy house

This movie is such a weird idea. Okay, so here’s the high-concept logline: 15 years after escaping from the candy witch, Hansel and Gretel have grown up to be bounty hunters played by Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton. Uh, okay. Now they need to kill an evil sorceress, played by the perpetually hot Famke Janssen. From the outside, this doesn’t look too promising, but the flick is directed by Norwegian goremaster Tommy Wirkola, who made the frozen zombie movie Dead Snow. This is the first time anybody’s seen footage from the movie in motion. Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters opens January 11, 2013.
