‘Hara-Kiri’ trailer cuts to the bone

If you don’t know who Takashi Miike is, you better call somebody. The maverick Japanese director has made over seventy films in his career, ranging from the ultra-violent Dead Or Alive series to the ridiculous zombie musical Happiness of the Katakuris. In recent years, he’s shifted his focus to more traditional samurai movies, such as 2010′s 13 Assassins. His latest, Hara-Kiri, tells the tale of a wandering samurai who wants only to end his life and the bizarre situation he gets put in when a feudal lord refuses. It’s getting great reviews and opens in America later this year.
