Remember that 80s movie Mannequin? Okay, now add a ton more blood. Yes, it’s another horror remake, this one a new take on William Lustig’s 1980 trash classic. If you haven’t seen it, pick it up – it was gross enough to make Gene Siskel walk out of the theater in disgust before the movie was even over. The remake stars Elijah Wood as Frank Zito, a disturbed schizophrenic who, when his doting mother dies, sets out on a grisly murder spree that brings him into contact with a young female artist. Will love win out over murder? Maniac opens later this year.
