VIDEO: 1960s trailer remake of Pixar’s “Up”
Chris Spags Have you ever wondered what the brilliant animated film “Up” would look like as a 1960s live-action movie? You probably have too much time on your hands. But still, faux trailer-maker Ivan Guerrero put together this 1060s version of “Up” together for you, starring Spencer Tracy as Carl, and it’s delightful.
While this trailer is creative and very well done, part of the magic is lost for me when I think about the fact that the 1960s “Up” version of Carl Fredricksen would probably be mourning his wife during the afternoon…immediately after spraying black people with a firehose in the morning for having the audacity to want to go to school. It was his only joy in life.
