VIDEO: Nat Geo recreates Flying House from ‘Up’
Everyone’s probably — at some point in their life — said, “I wish I had a house that could fly.” A lot of those people probably said it after the movie Up came out.
You’ll recall, if you watched it, that Mr. Fredrickson has a house that flies. This is thanks to a whole pile of balloons that he attaches to the top of it.
Well, National Geographic’s new show, “How Hard Can It Be?,” recreates such an experience by using 300 helium ballons to lift a house to 10,000 feet. Except they do it without the use of computer graphics, and with a real house. Their way is much harder.
Here’s where I would give you the video of the house actually doing it in the movie, but I can’t find one that doesn’t have embedding disabled. So go watch this one, and while you’re there, make sure and tell whoever this douche is that uploaded it — and turned off embedding — that he can get bent.
