Jon Lajoie song ‘Miley, You’re a Good Girl’ is a poignant assessment of pop

Jon Lajoie is rarely the voice of reason, but his brand new song “Miley, You’re a Good Girl” might be the smartest thing ever written about the Miley Cyrus VMA debacle.

What Miley Cyrus did on stage at the VMAs is no different than what every other pop star does, though her hair looked ridiculous and it involved more bears than usual, one of which looked like Chuck E Cheese. We’ve featured Rihanna giving a lap dance, Ke$ha drinking her own pee, Lady Gaga getting naked, and Psy doing what Psy does. Miley Cyrus wearing a costume from the “Blurred Lines” video and shaking her mediocre ass really doesn’t seem all that bad. You all need to grow up.
