My Morning Jacket offering free downloads to count down ‘Circuital’

Definitely awesome, however, is the band’s decision to let fans download some free tunes in anticipation of the album. They’re dropping one song per week over the next few weeks before finally letting fans grab (for free) one of the new tracks off of Circuital on April 12.

Circuital, by the by, is supposed to be kind of decent.

“This is the most live record we’ve ever done,” MMJ lead singer Jim James recently told Rolling Stone.

That, kiddies, is awesome freaking news, because MMJ live is baller.

Picking up the songs, too, is cake. Just cruise over to the band’s website and sign up — whenever one’s released, they should send you an email (this is also another example of why I suggest having two Gmail addresses), click a link and BAM.
