This cover of MGMT’s “Kids” by The Ooks of Hazzard is awesome
Chris Spags This isn’t “funny” in any sense, but it’s just too awesome not to post. A country/ukulele band named The Ooks of Hazzard covered MGMT’s hit song “Kids” and, frankly, it’s just as good as the original.
In response to this cover, I covered The Ooks of Hazzard’s cover on my own. It involves me quietly whispering the lyrics in a cubicle while just humming whenever I get to a part of the song in which I don’t know the lyrics. It may not have the raw emotion of The Ooks’ cover, but it has a deeper symbolic meaning. That meaning? Um…cubicles are like kids…because it’ll ruin your life if you find yourself inside one? I didn’t say it was a good meaning.
