Thug Notes future edition: ‘Brave New World’ & ‘Fahrenheit 451′

Colin Joliat Alcohol & Food Editor

“Open up yo’ ears and soak this game up, B.” Brave New World is one of the greatest books ever written, and Thug Notes helps make sense of Aldous Huxley’s future so you don’t look like an idiot.

Countless movies have borrowed from the themes of Brave New World. You can probably thinking of at least a couple of off the top of your head, not the least of which is Christian Bale’s best movie, Equilibrium. That’s why it’s important to read the classics, or at least cheat and watch the Thug Notes version of them. Educate yourself.

We missed last week’s episode, Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, which has very similar themes to Brave New World. Between the two of them, they account for almost every dystopian world plot you’ve ever seen.
