Thug Notes breakdown ‘Of Mice and Men’ crushes American dream

Colin Joliat Alcohol & Food Editor

Thug Notes is back with his weekly knowledge drop. This time Sparky Sweets, PhD, breaks down John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men. The theme is instantly recognizable as an episode of every crime drama show ever. OK, so maybe Of Mice and Men hasn’t been on every show, but I can recall episodes of Criminal Minds and CSI: Original Recipe episodes that were very similar.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Thug Notes is the best educational series on YouTube. It’s like reading Wikipedia only entertaining. By the time this series eventually runs its course, I will have “read” every classic piece of literature. Then I’ll finally be able to go to highfalutin monocle parties and hold my own with the pompous windbags.

Previous Thug Notes:

Hamlet

Lord of the Flies
