‘The Office’ gives us its greatest moment since the departure of Michael Scott

A. Isaac Senior Editor

At the end of season 7, Michael Scott left The Office. It’s been downhill since then. The additions of James Spader and Will Ferrell were nothing more than an unmitigated disaster. One of the lone bright spots left is Craig Robinson who plays Darryl Philbin–the warehouse foreman turned assistant regional manager who thinks everyone in the office (besides himself) is an idiot.

It’s a brilliant character really and one which gave us perhaps the show’s best moment in years last night.

I’d give you the whole story of why Darryl was celebrating but frankly, I’m not sure any of you care. Let’s just leave this GIF as it is. A brief reminder that The Office was once a great show filled with spontaneous moments of comedic genius.
