simpsons The Simpsons take Chernobyl

Art Magazine

Courtesy of outsider art magazine Juxtapoz, bathe yourself in the radiation of this awesome Simpsons mural painted in ravaged Chernobyl. Street artist Combo, who previously rampaged through Paris wheatpasting up murals that combined trenchant political commentary with Disney characters, traveled to the blasted-out wasteland of Chernobyl to create art on the walls there. Naturally, he decided to pay tribute to America’s favorite nuclear family with this note-perfect Simpsons piece. The reactor overload in 1986 is still considered to be the worst nuclear accident in history, and the Exclusion Zone around the area is a haunted, bizarre wilderness. I want to go there!
