VIDEO: “Secret Lives of the American Teenager” show loves the word “sex”
Perhaps I’m not up on ABC Family’s programming enough, but given that the word “family” is in the network name, I’m perplexed as to why an episode of the shoe “Secret Lives of the American Teenager” uses the word “sex” 70 times in one episode. That’s almost two times per minute, adjusting for commercials in a one hour show.
At first I saw this and thought, “Well, it’s a show about teens. It’s totally justifiable that sex would come up that many times.” Then I saw the kid with Down’s and they lost me. It’s all fun and games until you coerce a disabled kid into sex. So I’ve often been told while hanging around outside stops for the short bus. What can I say? They know how to slobber.
