VIDEO: The Taiwanese News Channel explains “Jersey Shore”

To be honest, I’m getting a little tired of posting these Taiwanese news animations created to summarize American news stories and cultural phenomena. But when they churn out quality like this video explaining the success of Snooki and “Jersey Shore,” it’s well-deserved.

If you’re Snooki, there’s a lot to dislike about this video, certainly. I don’t recall the episode of “Jersey Shore” where she had sex with several dozen men to lose weight (though I admire her unconventional methods to weight loss) and I somehow must have missed the news item where she beat President Obama with a champagne bottle. But I’m most horrified at how they present The Situation. Showing an animated character with such inferior abs is bordering on slander. Insult Snooki all you want, but any affront to a man’s handsome abdomen is an indignity I simply cannot allow.
