Gymnastics, swimming and beach volleyball for the Olympics tonight and some solid viewing on TNT. Here’s what you need to watch.

(*Over the next two weeks, we’ll be covering the Olympics at length so naturally, our TV watching is focused there. There are a few other things going on though and we’ll be sure to keep you filled in.)

Olympics @ 8pm, NBC: Tune in for some beach volleyball tonight with Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.

Perception @ 10pm, TNT: Is this show going to last? Seems like a bad mash-up between House and Numbers.

The Closer @ 9pm, TNT: We’re closing in on the end of this show and Brenda’s got one foot out the door.

Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson @ 12:30am, CBS: Late night shows are taking some time off with Olympic coverage but Craig Ferguson’s still going strong with an appearance from Emma Roberts.

Bizarre Foods America @ 9pm, Travel: It’s never a bad idea to watch this show. Unless of course you’re eating.
