Bebe Rexha, real name Bleta Rexha, had to stop a concert after a fan threw a cellphone on stage and drilled her in the face.

The news spread across the internet like a wildfire, reaching circles well beyond Bebe Rexha’s fanbase. It spread so fast primarily because of footage showing Rexha getting drilled in the face with the cellphone going viral on social media.

A video that has been making the rounds showing Bebe Rexha getting hit in the face by a cellphone has been viewed over 2 million times on Twitter:

According to ABC 7 NY, Rexha was taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries with 3 stitches. Meanwhile, the fan who threw the cellphone and hit her in the face is said to have been charged with assault for the incident.

After being discharged from the hospital, Baby Rexcha posted a picture of her left eye injury to Instagram with the caption ‘I’m good.’

Her fans all chimed in with well wishes, asking her ‘feel better.’ For some, it was the first time they were hearing about the weekend injury and they were shocked to see her on Instagram sharing the injury.

It should go without saying that nobody, ever, under any circumstances should throw things on stage at a concert unless directly asked to do so by the performer. I’ve seen jambands grow furious when balloons (!!) land on stage during concerts and those can be easily popped by a guitar.
