4-year-old leaves house, open neighbors’ gifts, drinks beer

Christmas is the time for giving. So it only makes sense that a 4-year-old sneaked out of his house in the middle of the night, broke into a neighbor’s house and opened their gifts, then walked the streets while drinking a beer. It’s a Christmas miracle!

[Logan] Pugh was sleeping inside a friend’s home on Blue Spruce Drive on Monday night, little did he know, he wasn’t the only guest.

“He got in and out of the house without waking anybody up,” Pugh told Eyewitness News.

Pugh slept soundly until deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office knocked on the door looking for a missing four year old boy.

“They found him at the end of the street drinking a beer, walking around like it was nothing,” Pugh remembered.

It wasn’t until the deputies left and the scene cleared away that Pugh realized the little boy had come in the unlocked door and taken all of the presents from underneath the Christmas tree.

I think we can all agree it’s probably not a normal occasion when four-year-olds are breaking into houses and drinking. It’s a Christmas miracle!

Even though this can’t be construed as a good thing, I bet when the kid’s parents calmed down, they probably stopped to really soak the whole situation in. It’s to be expected when you celebrate a monumental occasion such as your four-year-old’s first robbery and public intoxication. They grow up so fast!

UPDATE: The kid got arrested because, according to his mother, he “wants to go to jail because that’s where his daddy is.” Watch out, greatness..here comes this kid!
