Car thief scolds mother for leaving her child in the car
When you need someone to serve as a moral judge, look no further than a car thief. A Houston-area car thief returned a car and scolded the mother when he found that her child was in the back seat.
Police say the 22-year-old mother and her boyfriend parked their car to go fishing. Upon getting to the water, the woman thought it was too cold for her infant and brought him back to the car where she turned on the heater and left the engine running.
The mother went back to the beach to help her boyfriend clean up and gather all the fishing tools.
When they returned, the car was gone.
Minutes later, the thief — a homeless man — returned the car and scolded the couple for leaving their child alone in the car. He then scampered away on foot.
It seems like everyone in this story at least has a little bit of fault. It just seems stupid to leave your child alone in an open car with the engine running. And stealing a car isn’t something I’d entirely support. Then again, neither is returning a car that has a baby in the backseat. I mean, a car is worth a finite amount as defined by the Kelley Blue Book. But an infant? They have no such price listing, so it’d be way easier to drive up the price. I guess that’s how he got to be homeless in the first place…a complete lack of business sense.
