Note to aspiring criminals: When pondering your next big crime, you should probably avoid getting the crime you committed illustrated in a tattoo on your chest. Anthony Garcia, you lose, good sir.

Garcia, pictured above, committed a liquor store robbery that stumped local police for more than four years. But today he’s on the receiving end of a conviction for first degree murder after Los Angeles police found Garcia and his chest tattoo, which depicts the 2004 robbery they were tracking for years.

So there you go. Apparently extremely poorly drawn tattoos that make this morning’s Dilbert look like Picasso’s Blue Period on a gang member’s body are admissible evidence in court, but DNA smeared all over a house by a famous athlete who was seen purchasing items found at the murder scene does not. Priorities are looking good, Southern California.
