College thief steals laptop, owner posts embarrassing video of thief dancing

Some unscrupulous character stole the laptop from a guy he went to school with at Bentley University in Boston. Unfortunately, the thief stole the computer from an 18-year-old named Mark Bao, an experienced programmer and techhead. So Bao got into his computer’s backups and came across this shameful video of the thief dancing most embarrassingly to Tyga’s “Make It Rain” playing on the stolen laptop.

Bao’s video picked up some momentum on YouTube and social media sites. The added attention, and the aid of local police, led to Bao getting his laptop back.

After the return of the laptop, the thief contacted Bao on Facebook (he knew Bao through friends of friends) and asked him to remove the video with this note:

He’s got TWO Professional jobs (the P is capitalized as to convey added professionalism) so clearly his reputation mustn’t be tarnished.

Despite the thief’s request to have the video removed, Bao told Reddit he won’t take the video down since the thief “is in no position to bargain.”

Now that Bao has his laptop back, he’s planning on selling the computer he bought in the time his went missing and donating the proceeds to Japan’s relief funds.

Good for this kid, Mark Bao. It’s easy to go, “Oh, well, I got my stuff back, no harm no foul.” But it’s much more entertaining to continue to inflict embarrassment on someone who, for all intents and purposes, is a scumbag. Any inclination you might have to forgive the guy should be combated by the fact this kid had no remorse. He didn’t steal the laptop then stare down over the city broodingly like Batman questioning his lot in life. No. He was dancing like an effeminate robot to club music. When you do that, you should get what’s coming to you.

What'd you think of this?
