Driver’s first act after getting license: crashing into the DMV
Chris Spags Getting your driver’s license is a big moment in any young adult’s life. So what better way to celebrate than immediately risk it getting taken away like this kid?
A man [ED. NOTE: Some reports are saying it's a 16-year-old but police reports indicated the driver is in his 30s...sad] had just passed his driver’s test when he crashed into a Western Pennsylvania DMV. The accident happened as the teen was attempting to leave the DMV’s parking lot.
The accident occurred when the the teen had finished dropping off a DMV administrator after completing his road test.
Local police said the driver made the mistake of thinking the car was in park when it wasn’t. He then panicked when the car went over the curb and, wham, accident town.
Police said that the crash injured at least three people inside the DMV.
Well, accidents do happen, though the timing of this one couldn’t be much worse. If this were a sitcom, the administrator probably would have taken the driver’s new license and ripped it up immediately while the audience laughs uproariously. In real life, the administrator was probably bleeding internally and teetering on unconsciousness. And that’s why we all love “Two and a Half Men” so dearly.
